Luis Ramírez Muñoz / HALF-LIFE

HALF-LIFE

In Half-Life the senses seem to be displaced and fragmented. Gestures are made for someone that is not there. Words are uttered and dissolved in the cacophony of the space. A constant struggle for communication, fully dependent yet permanently isolated from each other. Submitted to an alien force, exhausted of resisting its influence, bound to resist without rest. All attempts are always the last one.

Luis Ramírez Muñoz
(Colombia, 1994) is an artist, performer and choreographer based in Brussels since 2016. He finished his Training studies at P.A.R.T.S. in 2019 and is currently part of the Masters programme 'STUDIOS'. His works have so far touched upon the mechanics of the body, improvisation, the organization of chaos and behaviour as a material. Instead of being subjects exclusive to each work they are themes that appear and interact with each other. As a performer he has presented several improvisation solos in the 'Crude Saturdays' platform at TicTac art center.
