DO WE NEED A BODY TO DANCE?

20kg of rice, a body, a costume, a space.

How do these elements interact with each other to create a dance, and challenge the limits of the dancing body?

The dance appears in tension with the change of body weight, different surfaces, and the power of the images.

Does the rice dance too? Which bodies appear to the audience as dancing bodies?

“Do We Need A Body To Dance?” seeks to modulate the movements caused by an external entity like the wind on a tree, and the body itself moving through decision making. Can a body respond to both, and can these movements coexist?

Dance is now defined through your eyes.
