Michaël Pomero FR

Michaël Pomero (b. 1980, France) discovered dance at the Junior Ballet Company of Béziers and continued his studies at the Rudra Béjart School in Lausanne. He commenced his professional career in 1999 at the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. In 2001 he joined the Lyon Opera Ballet, where he performed work by John Jasperse, Angelin Preljocaj, Dominique Boivin, Russell Maliphant, and others. In 2003 he launched his freelance career and moved to London, where he participated in two creations by Maliphant, as well as working on different projects in the UK and Switzerland. In 2005 he cofounded the Loge 22 collective in Lyon with Marie Goudot and Julien Monty. Since then, he has danced in several productions by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker—Bartók/Beethoven/Schönberg—Repertory Evening, The Song, Cesena, Vortex Temporum,Work/Travail/Arbeid, Mitten wir im Leben sind/Bach6Cellosuiten, The Six Brandenburg Concertos and Così fan tutte—while remaining involved in Loge 22 projects, most recently Sur Face, . . . comme étant de l'émiettement, and Konkretheit. Loge 22 is a cofounder of Europe’s SPIDER Festival, staging events in Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, France, and Belgium.
