Youness Khoukhou MA

Youness Khoukhou was born in 1984 in Morocco. He started breakdancing at the age of 18 in Marrakech, where he grew up and trained in contemporary dance with Anania. In 2006, he moved to Tunis to study at the C.M.D.C. (Mediterranean Center of Contemporary Dance Tunisia). At the same time, he began studying psychomotricity and bodywork at the Lafaurie Monbadon Center in France with Jacques Garros.
He arrives in Belgium in 2008 to study at P.A.R.T.S. He creates 111-1 in 2012 with the collective 111-1 (Radouan Mriziga, Youness Khoukhou, José Paulo dos Santos & Mohamed Toukabri). He danced in productions such as Re: Zeitung by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Primitive by Claire Croizé and Soleils by Pierre Droulers.
Under the impulse of Charleroi danse, for DANSEUR 2015, he created his first group piece Becoming as a choreographer. His first solo, Noon, co-produced by Charleroi danse, was created in September 2017.
